2010 Final Results
 This BAGS CT CUP points race is seperate from the Order
of Merit Points Race. The Order of Merit Points are accrued after each and every tournament played by yourself, depending
on how you finish in (ANY) particular tournament you play in. The BAGS CT CUP points race is set up like the FED/EX
cup points race, similiar to the PGA Tour. We designated 20 (weekend tournaments) in which only those tournaments count towards
the BAGS CT CUP Points. We will also accrue points for the order of merit trophy on those days. It's a tournament within
a tournament. The designated tournaments are highlighted by an (*) next to the day of the week in the tournament schedule.
Points are awarded on how you finish in the tournament. The points given out are as follows:
250 Points -- Winner 150 Points -- 2nd Place 125 Points -- 3rd Place 100 Points -- 4th Place 80 Points -- 5th Place 70 Points -- 6th Place 60 Points -- 7th Place 50 Points -- 8th Place 40 Points -- 9th Place 30 Points -- 10th Place 20 down to 1 points -- 11th to 20th place If you finish in 1st place (overall) in the tournament you will be awarded the 250 points. If you finish in 4th, but you are first out of the golfers who signed up for the BAGS CUP, you will be awarded 4th place points, (100 points). The scoring system is set up in such a way that you do not have to participate in EVERY tournament to have a chance to win the BAGS CT CUP. The scoring system for the order of merit is setup differently and if you go to the order of merit page you will see how that works. At the end of the BAGS CT CUP Points Race there will be a trophy given to the winner with their name and the year they won. The golfer will be able to hold on to the trophy until the 1st tournament of the following year where the BAGS CT CUP Points race begins again. A small plaque will be given to the winner in recognition of their achievment at that time the trophy is handed back. You MUST sign up seperately to enter the race for the BAGS CT CUP. The fee is a one time fee of $10 dollars. You must sign up before the first tournament is played, which is the first weekend in May. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE. The Winner of the BAGS CT Points Race also gets their membership fee free for the following season. I would like to credit this great idea to Bob Finn, he is a long time Rhode Island BAGS member.
