On this page you will find member testimonials from a few of our BAGS CT Members.

I have so much fun playing on the Bags CT Tour.  You can play with anyone in the group and have a great time, that due to the membership is great.  You can make request to play early or late in the tournaments, and Brian Blade, the owner of the tour, will work with all of his members.  He is the best.  He is open to suggestions, for example, I asked him if he could put out a list of players at certain tournaments, and the next day, Brian put it on the website, which is real easy to use.  Trust me, if you love playing golf, like I do, you'll love playing in Bags CT organization.

I have been playing with Bags RI for over 20 years and have had
a great time doing so.
When You and I first talked about your starting Bags CT, there were a lot of questions
and suggestions.  It took awhile, but You put Your heart and soul into it and made
it a First Class Amature Golf Tour.  The suggestions I made have been incorporated
and adhered too.  As I read the comments, players are happy to be playing on a
Golf Tour that is run by the rules and that all of the players and handicaps, plus
the days special rules are posted. It let everyone know what to expect.
Keep up the Good work and I look forward to playing on YOUR tour next year.

I joined for the 2011 season with little expectations but I was interested in the concept. Because of the reasonable costs involved, I encouraged my usual foursome to join also. What we learned during the season was that  the CT Amateur Golf Tour  offers   great courses to play( a number of them  that we would not be able to play without membership at them)  , competitive tournament events to participate in, and a very well-run and efficient  handling of scheduling and scoring. I can honestly say  we enjoyed the season and are looking forward to 2012.  Thanks for all you do to keep it going!

Have a great Holiday Season!

As a new member from out of state (NY) I chose some events to participate in at some really nice courses
that I would not ordinarily have access to. As a member of a private club, I still joined because the rates are
reasonable and the course options were exceptional.  The tournaments are very well run and you can choose
the amount of side bets you want to enter or not....skins, etc.

I can't wait for next year, I had a lot of fun playing with the BAGS group this past year. I love the idea of playing those courses normally not accessible to the public. You're doing a great job at getting the nicest courses to play and running the tournaments. I can't wait for next season if its anything like this past year, it should be a ball. Best wishes.

I dropped out of my country club membership because I didn’t have enough time to play the number of rounds it would take to justify the costs.  I love to play new and great courses so the Ct. Amateur Golf Tour was perfect.  I could play a lot of great courses and play them when it fit my schedule.  I have never played so many good golf courses in one year as I did this past year.  Not having to worry about setting up tee times and the great competition provided was just an extra bonus.!

Brian Blade's CT Amateur Golf Tour is a godsend for golfers of all ages and abilities who want to compete with their peers on some of the finest public and private courses in the state, and beyond.  The competition isn't cutthroat, but you play for prizes, and you play by the rules of golf.  You don't have to be an expert on the rules; Brian is, and he welcomes questions, even if you're in the middle of a round.  (He provides his cell number.)

This is not a seat-of-the-pants operation: Brian sets all the tournaments up, keeps members informed about events via e-mail, and is present to supervise on-course sign-in.  He remains on site throughout tournaments, as well.   A large whiteboard next to the sign-in table lists foursomes, tee assignments, handicaps, rules, and other pertinent information.

Brian is friendly, super-organized, and efficient.  Go through the website.  He appears to have anticipated every question you might ask, including how to get a handicap.

The costs are reasonable, and there are scores of tournaments on different days of the week from April through October.  Play a couple, play a lot.  It's your choice.  You will meet new people, you will make new friends, and you will play on some wonderful tracks.  And you know what?  Your golf might even improve, because when you play in competition (rather than just knocking it around), you tend to focus better.

The Ct Amateur Golf Tour.  What's not to like?

Bags CT is the greatest way to play some of the greatest private and public courses in CT at a great  price.  I met a lot of great guys of all calibers of golf.  I have told all my friends about it and told them to join. I got to play courses I would otherwise not be able to play.  The scoring system makes it fair so everyone has a chance to win something.  I myself won something a couple of times.  Brian makes it so easy.  Just sign up, show up and play.  The competition is great.  Thanks Brian... See you next year.

Brian-

Thanks for another good year on the tour with BAGS. You added a bunch of great courses that I am looking forward to returning to next year. Once again I got my handicap through you and I enjoyed meeting some new people on the course.

Although only played a handful of events in this my second year, it's obvious the tour has grown in a very positive way.  A great schedule of events provides the opportunity for some great golf.  Have already signed on for another year.

Brian, hope all is well..I unfortunately was not able to play in any of the events this year due to physical ailments that restricted my ability to swing a club..None the less, I was quite impressed with the quality and quantity of the courses you had on this years schedule..Conversations I had with friends who participated in tournaments were full of praise on how you and your staff organized the outings..I expect to be healthier by next year and look forward being able to experience and benefit from all your efforts..Great job..I look forward to the upcoming season for many reasons..Many thanks.

I joined BAGS late in 2011 because a traveling men's club is an awesome concept.  I never joined a club as I didn't want to play the same course over and over.  With BAGS, you get to play a variety of courses throughout the state, including private clubs you normally can't get on.  I can't wait for the 2012 season.

Brian,

This was my first year with the CT Amateur Golf Tour and I have to say that I have been very happy and pleased about joining this association.  Your hard work and efforts have made it a pleasure to play in courses that I would never have had the opportunity to play and with people that I have really enjoyed.  The organization of all the events has been terrific and I look forward to next year’s tour.

Thanks again
